Club Competitions
The Hasnip Shield compatition
will now take place on a single day, Sunday September 8th
Twenty competitors took place in the Mulroy Trophy, mixed doubles, competition on Sunday June 2nd. This was the first club competition of 2024, delayed due to the poor weather earlier. On the day the weather was perfect, warm, clear blue skies and a light cooling breeze.
The competitors were divided into two groups, with each group playing in a round robbbin against each other.
The wiinning pair from each round robbin group played in the final,

played Jill Fisher & David Hardy ( group 2 winners)
In the final Brenda and Matthew won through and are shown being presented with the Mulroy Trophy by Alan Thickett, a long standing club member, who just missed out from competing in the final himself.
The competition and whole day (including the buffet lunch) was thoroughly enjoyed by all the players and spectators.
